MARCH MONTHLY SERVICE

Wednesday, March 7, 2007
We wish Robert Miranda well as he just moved out to a clean and sober house in Kalihi to fulfill his supervised release conditions. He will still have to check in with us on a daily basis and promised to attend the March monthly service… coming up on March 11. We wish to see you all here!

February Service

Thursday, February 8, 2007
Holy moly! It’s already February and obviously the New Year doesn’t seem so new anymore. And just when the year of Oyasama’s 120th Anniversary is over, some people are saying we must now prepare for the 130th Anniversary… Give me a couple days rest first! (Or more like a couple years!). Well, it means we shouldn’t get complacent and take it easy; that we should stay focused on our mission…

Congratulations to John and Yuk Mei Inouye and their family on the establishment of Hawaii Kai Mission Station with their dedication service being held this past Monday. The bishop said in his speech that this was a good start in preparation for the 130th Anniversary… Now Rev. Tyron is the envy of the small churches. He’s got a mission station under his belt. Hey, how about Pearl Church? Sending out messages…

The Tenri Cultural Center Hinokishin Day will be held on Monday, February 19th (President’s Day) from 9am-11am with lunch being served at 11am and the YMA conducting sports games after lunch. Please make an effort to attend and help with the clean up. Again another opportunity for planting good seeds, fellowship, and spiritual growth… Let me know if you’re coming so that Dendocho can prepare the proper amount of food.

Spring Grand Service

Wednesday, January 10, 2007
That’s right! The SPRING GRAND SERVICE is coming up so we all need to make that special EXTRA effort to attend… regardless of when the super bowl is showing on TV or not. Whew! Aren’t I glad it’s not on this Sunday… But anyway… we will be commemorating the 121st Anniversary since Oyasama withdrew from physical life to hasten our spiritual growth.

Speaking of spiritual growth, how we all doing these days? Making and keeping our spiritual New Year’s resolutions would be a step in the right direction...

Some suggestions:
  • return to Jiba this year.
  • Attend Besseki lecture
  • Get your truth of Sazuke
  • Administer the Sazuke
  • Install God’s shrine in your home
  • Attend monthly service without fail.
  • Perform the morning and evening services.
  • Make a penny offering everyday as a token of appreciation for your daily health and blessings.
Always say a comforting phrase to a friend. “How you doing?” “Anything I can do to help?”

We’re all here for a reason. Make it a good reason...

Pastor Owen
