Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF

This month is UNICEF month. As all of you know, people are still recovering from disasters in Samoa, Philippines and Indonesia and UNICEF is taking an active part in helping the survivors.  Please make a small donation and take a UNICEF collection box or two, home for friends and family and/or join us on Halloween for Trick or Treat for UNICEF, at MHQ on Halloween Day at 7pm.  Please turn in collection boxes by Sunday, November 8.

We are all on the same boat, called the planet earth.  If we let the people on one part of the boat sink and drown, we will all go down together.  Furthermore, as we all have our roots in the same Creator, we are all one family... Let us all take this time of disasters in the Philippines, Samoa and Indonesia to ponder our situations and resolve to extend that helping hand to others in the "same boat".

  We'll be passing out the UNICEF collection boxes during this month's October Grand Service, in participation of this years collection drive which will directly impact the people in the disaster stricken areas.  Please join us as we pray and extend that "helping hand."

Prayers to Samoa and Philippines

Our prayers and hearts go out to the victims and survivors of the recent disasters in the Philippines and Samoa.  UNICEF has already made an emergency call for donations to send aid to these areas.  Please give generously for this year's UNICEF fund drive! I would like to take this time to thank everyone for your support during this past 39th Tenrikyo bazaar!  With over 300 volunteers, including 20 from Pearl Church we really hit it on the nail as far as gathering volunteers and serving the community.  Thank you very much!
