There were a total of 140 people at the All Tenrikyo Hinokishin Day at Honolulu Zoo! Of that number, an incredible 54 participants were from Pearl Church! Thank you everyone for your dedicated Hinokishin!

All Tenrikyo Hinokishin Day at the Honolulu Zoo

Just a friendly reminder that we have the annual All Tenrikyo Hinokishin Day at Honolulu Zoo this Saturday, May 2 from 9am-11am!  Pearl Church will be serving lunch there to its members so please let me know if you're coming!
We're looking at another record year with a possible 50 people from Pearl Church!

New-born: Zoey Mizuki Taylor

Annabella Taylor (daughter of Pastor Owen) and David Taylor had successfully given birth to a baby girl in Naples, Italy, on April 14th!  Congratulations to them both!  See more photos here.

Prayer for Zoey

Thank you all for you gifts to baby Zoey, kind words of congratulations and encouragement.  After a long labor (over 24 hours), Zoey was finally born, but she is not feeding and therefore is losing weight.  We'd like to ask everyone to include a special prayer for her in your daily service, that she start breast feeding and gain weight normally.

Here at Pearl Church we'll be conducting special prayer services after the morning and evening services.

April Service

Please join us in joy and gratitude in this month of Oyasama's Birthday (18th) at Pearl Church monthly service this Sunday, April 12th at 10am.  This month's sermon focuses on the 4th aspect of God's Providence: Tsukiyomi no Mikoto the providence of the male organ, of bones and support, in the world the providence of support in general.

We just conducted the 10th Anniversary Service for the late Hiroki Mitsunaga (late husband of June Mitsunaga) last night at Pearl Church with 15 relatives in attendance.  It was a nice family gathering which reminicsed on the late Mr. Mitsunaga's life.
