March Monthly Service 2016

Aloha members and friends,

This Sunday is monthly service day.  It is my hope that all of you can attend.  The truth of attending the monthly service carries so much weight, but most people don’t realize it.  The blessings we receive on a daily basis cannot be measured in terms of money or material things.  Whether we acknowledge it or not we are basically being kept alive and protected by an incredible but benevolent force but we call God the Parent.  We would not exist if this love and power was withdrawn for even one second.

As growing spiritual beings, we are taught to acknowledge these blessings not a our leisure but at a specified time and place even though it may be a little inconvenient.  This is so that we may expressed our utmost sincere gratitude and humbly request that the blessings continue that we may participate in the mission of building the joyous life world.

Naturally, we encounter circumstances that prevent us from attending the monthly services, but our sincerity and deep sense of gratitude should compel us to pay our respects either right before or right after the service, again not a our leisure but at the next opportunity.

If we are at a distant location, then a service can done at home on the same day (2nd Sunday) in lieu of attending the service here.

I believe this is the spirit and knowing the importance of the monthly service.

Sincerely,
Rev. Owen Nakao
